Nicole Marie Sprang

after a series of health issues.

Nikki, and her twin brother Aaron, were born in Medina, Ohio on May 13, 1984. They were seven weeks premature and due to an accident during the birth Nikki’s life almost ended before it had a chance to begin. She was a fighter from the beginning and spent the first two months of her life in the Akron Neonatal Care unit of Akron Children's Hospital. Later, she underwent several corrective surgeries to correct crossed eyes, and lengthen her heel cords and hamstring tendons.

Through it all, she always was upbeat, happy, and a joy to be around. Nikki attended Carroll Hills School, which she graduated from in 2006. She went to work at the Carroll Hills Workshop for a number of years, where she made many friends and happy memories, until she began having health issues. She lived a simple life, full of family and surrounded by love. Nikki had a curious spirit and loved to share her infectious laugh with anyone willing.

Nicole was preceded in death by her grandparents, Marlene and Wendell Wolfe; and Phyllis and Howard Sprang; aunt, Karen Dillon (Wolfe), aunt, Karen Sprang, and her uncle, Michael Wolfe. She is survived by her mother, Lori Sprang (Wolfe), and her father, Gary M. Sprang, of Dellroy, Ohio; her twin brother, Aaron, also of Dellroy; sister, Ellen (Sprang) and Andrew Purkey of Akron; sibling, Sea Dax, of Cincinnati; and affectionate niece, Alice. Nikki will never be forgotten by the many relatives and friends who will remember her sweet smile and loving spirit.

The family will be hosting visitors at the Karlo-Libby Funeral Home (5000 Everhard Rd NW in Canton) from 1-4pm on Sunday, November 28th. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 29th at 11am, with Pastor Michael Gross officiating. Internment to follow at Sunset Hills Memory Gardens. Nikki’s favorite color was “Greeeeeen!” To honor her memory, please wear green to her services.
