Norma Matilda Bates

She was born on March 16, 1930 in Tuscarawas Co. to the late Maxwell and Pearl Limbach. She graduated from McKinley High School in 1947 and was a great waitress at Bill’s Diner in Canton and N. Canton for many years before working at Tyson Bearings in Massillon, Ohio where she retired after many years of service.

Norma was preceded in death by her parents, Maxwell and Pearl Limbach, and her husband of 21 years, Robert Bates.

She is survived by her sister, Marjorie (John) Beaber, her brother, James (Mary) Limbach, nieces: Brenda (Andy) Lang, Cheryl Limbach, Leslie (Mike) Harrington, two great-nieces: McKenzie Burns, Meredith (Shawn) Adams, one great-nephew, Bobby Burns, and two great-great-nephews who were the love of her life, Grant and Austin Adams.

A private graveside service will be held at Sunset Hills Memory Gardens at a later date.
