

Paul Edwin Glunt, Jr., age 88, of Plain Township, formerly of Hanoverton, passed away Friday, September 19, 2014. He was born May 15, 1926 in East Liverpool, Ohio to the late Paul and Edythe (McDole) Glunt, Sr. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Joyce Houlihan; and infant daughter, Lisa Ann Glunt.
Paul was a US Navy veteran of WWII. During his lifetime he was a proud member of the VFW & Eagles. In 2012 he was able to attend the WWII Veterans Honor Flight to Washington DC and had, as he said when he returned "The time of my life". Retired at his time of passing, Paul previously was the owner operator of Glunt Trucking Company as well as co-operating his parents’ full service BP & multi-unit residential rental business.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Claudia L. Glunt, of the home; children, Carol L. (Keith) Romigh of Navarre, FL, Joy L. (Mike) Briceland of Amherst, OH, Janice K. (David) Blasiman of Salem, OH, and Gary L. Glunt of Plain Township; eight grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren (plus one on the way); one niece; and three nephews as well as there families.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, October 4, 2014 in the Karlo-Libby Funeral Home. Friends may call Saturday from 10-11am, one hour before services at the funeral home. A private graveside inurnment service will be held at Grove Hill Cemetery in Hanoverton, OH in the spring.
