Bob was born in Cuyahoga Falls. He was a graduate of the 1950 class of Cuyahoga Falls High School. After high school, he served in the United States Navy from 1951 until his honorable discharge in 1954. He went on to work for Goodyear Tire & Rubber for 44 years until he retired in 1992. In his free time, Bob enjoyed camping and golfing.
Bob is survived by his four children: Arlene (Gregory) Stevens, Deborah Wolfe, Elizabeth (Toby Dong) Oldham, and R. Paul (Kathleen) Carey; 7 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren, one sister, Maxine (Dave) Barber, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, Robert R. and Vesta Mae (Totten) Carey, Bob was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Nancy Lee (Wohlford) Carey.
A graveside service for Bob will be held at Sunset Hills Memory Gardens on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at 10:00 am with Reverend Gary Smith officiating.
