Steven G. Simmons, age 53, passed away in Canton on Friday, February 3, 2012. He was born in Elkins, WV on September 19, 1958 to Orville J. and Nancy Lee (Sherman) Simmons. Steven was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany during his service.
He is preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his wife, Iris Simmons; sons, Patrick and Steven Simmons; daughter, Tiffany Simmons; grandchildren, Alyssa, Alec, and Nathan Simmons; sister, Deborah (Jay) Koval; brother, Bill (Annette) Simmons, step-brothers, Robert and James Lear; step-sister, Linda Lear, and step-father, James Lear.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at Karlo-Libby Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. Rev Gary Smith will conduct the service. Burial will follow in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens. Contributions may be made to St. Josephs Catholic Church.
