

Theodore “Ted” Eugene Dluzyn, 88, of Jackson Township, passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2026.
Ted was born in Cleveland on April 4, 1937, to the late Joseph and Marian (Nagorski) Dluzyn. Ted was a graduate of the University of Akron. Ted served in the United States Army from 1960 to 1963 and was stationed in Germany, where he met the love of his life, Brigitte Schadt. In 1963, after his tour of duty was over, Ted returned to the United States with Brigitte. Ted and Brigitte were blessed with two daughters, Mary Anne Dluzyn and Catherine Dluzyn-Williams. Ted worked for Firestone and Firestone Building Products for 35 years, where he worked in International Sales, until he retired in 2002.
Ted is survived by his daughter, Catherine (Derek), two grandsons, Ian and Alec Hegarty, brothers, Dave and Joe Dluzyn, sister-in-law, Ilse Deubel, and one niece and four nephews.
Ted is preceded in death by his loving wife, Brigitte, and his daughter, Mary Anne.
Per his wishes, private services will be held for the family. Karlo-Libby Funeral Home is assisting the family.
