Warren Smith

Warren A. “Smitty” Smith, age 83, of Canton, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday evening, April 26, 2011. He was born July 4, 1927 in Rio, West Virginia to the late Raleigh and Lula (Nelson) Smith. He retired from LTV Steel in Massillon after 38 years service and will be remembered for his love of fishing and hunting.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Alan Smith; two sisters and three brothers. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Evelyn M. (McDaniel) Smith; children, Bill and Carolyn Smith of North Lawrence, OH, Warren E. and Angela Smith of Massillon, Brenda and Edward Turley of Louisville, OH, Christopher and Judith Smith of Bradenton, FL, and Gregory and Michele Smith of Canton; 13 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; and 6 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am, Saturday in the Karlo-Libby Funeral Home with Dr. Roger Alber officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens.
