Wilma was born in Rock Creek on November 1, 1929 to the late Harry and Regina (Rice) Grant. She graduated from Greentown High School in 1947. On August 15, 1948, she married Dale Harter who preceded her in death in 2013. Wilma worked for London Candies for many years until she retired in 1978. She was an avid fan of the GlenOak Golden Eagles Football team as well as the Ohio State Buckeyes football team and the Cleveland Indians baseball team.
Wilma is survived by three children: James (Kathy) Harter, Dave (Mya) Harter, and Dawn (Greg) Fleury; three grandchildren: Kari (Adam) Hineman, Georgeanne Harter, and Eric Fleury; four great-grandchildren: Emma and Cade Hineman and Layla and Hailey Fleury; and four siblings: Virginia White, Betty Baker, Harriet Fruitig, and Harry Grant.
Along with her parents and husband, Wilma is preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law, Lynn and Gary Everhard, daughter-in-law, Marti Harter, and granddaughter, Tami Harter.
Calling hours will be held at Karlo-Libby Funeral Home on Thursday, July 29, 2021 from 5-6:30 p.m. with funeral services starting at the funeral home at 6:30 p.m. Wilma will be privately laid to rest next to her husband at Sunset Hills Burial Park.
