Services for Betty Richardson, 84, of Canton, will be 2:30 pm Friday, March 6, 2015 at the First Baptist Church in Canton with Bro. Mike Roberson officiating under the direction of Eubank Funeral Home. Burial will be in Haven of Memories, Canton, TX.
Mrs. Richardson passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2015, in Tyler.
Betty was born April 25, 1930 in Winnsboro to Chester and Callie Birdsong. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Canton where she loved teaching the young married women in Sunday School for many years. She was a faithful and devoted pastor’s wife. Betty loved nature, working in her garden and watching birds.
Mrs. Richardson is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Rev. Charles Richardson, two brothers and two sisters.
Betty is survived by her daughter, Christi Smith of Mesquite; two sons: David and Kim Richardson of Prairieville, LA and Mark Richardson of Dallas; three grandchildren: Courtney Smith, Ethan Richardson and Evan Richardson; and a sister, Jo Bagby of Winnsboro.
Pallbearers are John Powell, Charles Skidmore, Mike Chambless, Paul Barentine, Joe Bob Wycough, Spencer Daniel, Alan Daniel, Ronnie Daniell, Larry Davis and Paul Bridgefarmer.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
