Services for Billy Clyde Sands, 86, of Canton, TX are scheduled for 2 pm Monday, December 21, 2015, at the Eubank Funeral Chapel in Canton with Rev. Don Bell officiating. Interment will be at the Old Bethel Cemetery.
Mr. Sands passed away Thursday, December 17, 2015 in Canton. He was born May 26, 1929, in Odessa TX to Clyde Hamilton and Annie Lutec Boren Sands.
Billy attended Lakeview Assembly of God in Seven Points, TX. He was marred for 55 years to his wife, JoAnn, who went to be with the Lord. He enjoyed fishing, collecting frogs, fish dinners, old movies and Cajun music. Billy served in the Army during the Korean War. He was a long haul truck driver for many years and will be greatly missed.
Mr. Sands is preceded in death by his wife, JoAnn Thompson Sands; daughter, Laura Bryant; and son-in-law, Roger Bryant.
Billy is survived by two sons: Chris and Marlana Sands of Canton and Mark and Janice Sands of Richardson;eight grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
