Bob went to be with his heavenly Father on Sunday, April 16, 2023, after a lengthy battle with liver disease. He was a beloved husband, father and PaPa Bob to his five grandchildren.

Bob and Elaine raised their two sons, Brian and Jason in Houston where they enjoyed camping and fishing with friends. Bob and Elaine bought family land and retired to Canton, Texas, in 2017. "The Farm" became Bob's favorite place on earth, where he drove his Polaris buggy around his 40 acres, enjoyed his fishing pier and raised his Nigerian Pigmy goats for his agricultural exemption. Bob was a proud member of the Canton Lion's Club, where he served on the Executive Board.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Billie, and his sister, Patricia Lynn Hubbard. Bob is survived by his wife, of almost 49 years, Elaine; sons: Brian Robert Hubbard and wife, Vanessa, of Katy, Texas, and Jason Maxwell Hubbard of Canton, Texas; grandchildren: Jillian Lanee' Hubbard, Brian Robert Hubbard, Jr. and Cadan Graham Hubbard of Katy, Texas, and Shayne Avery Hubbard and Maxwell Lee Hubbard of Canton, Texas.
