

Brian passed away on January 21, 2024 in Marshall, Texas. He was born on December 28, 1975 to Bob Kernell and Debra Miller Kernell.
Brian or “Pooky”, named by his brother and the Canton High School football team, grew up in Canton and graduated from Canton High School in 1994. Brian was a man of many hats; he had been a fireman for the city of Mexia, Texas, a safety officer in the oil fields in central Texas area and later was a truck driver – owner/operator. Brian was a big outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, cooking out and sports. When he was not spending time with family or friends, Brian could be found at home watching action movies or his favorite teams: UT Longhorns, Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Rangers. His biggest joy and happiest time was with his children. Time with family was everything. Brian will be dearly missed but live on in the hearts and memories of all that knew him.
Brian is survived by his children: Andrew Kernell and wife, Sydney, Adriana Kernell, Kaven Kernell and Kynna Kernell; granddaughter, Remeigh Kernell; mother and stepfather, Debra and Kenneth Craig; father, Bob Kernell; wife, Amanda Kernell; step brothers, Brian Craig and wife, Susanne, Ken Allen Craig and wife, Tracey.
A visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 26, 2024 at the funeral home.
Final resting place will be Haven of Memories Memorial Park in Canton, Texas.
