Clay lived in Canton most of his life. He was a hard-working man who was very social and enjoyed hanging out with his friends. Clay was a happy man who enjoyed watching movies, Legos, dinosaurs, and baseball. He was a huge Red Sox fan.
Clay is survived by his son, Tristan Clay and Emily Childress; two daughters: Patience Allyssa Childress and Marianna Childress; granddaughter, Amelia Claire Childress; parents, Butch and Renee Childress; two brothers: Cody and Crystal Childress, and Tom Coy Childress; grandparents, Billy T. and Nannette Threadgill; aunts, uncles, cousins, and nieces.
Clay is preceded in death by his grandparents: Billy Jack Childress, Charles Eugene Wilhite and Mary Wilhite.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
