Don "Pappy" Davis

Mr. Davis passed away Saturday, August 12, 2017, in Canton. He was born February 7, 1940, in Canton to Ebb Riley and Jewel Marie Malone Davis.

Don was a Christian by faith. He lived most of his life in Canton. Pappy enjoyed going to the sale barn, baling hay, hanging out at Free State Storage and spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mr. Davis is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, James.

Pappy is survived by his wife of 58 years, Linda Davis of Canton; son, Donny and Nanolyn Davis of Canton; daughter, Dana and Mike Whitus of Canton; 5 grandchildren: Brandon Whitus, Dustin and Jamie Davis, Daron Davis, Bliss and Bubba Harris and Macy and Zach Phillips; 8 great-grandchildren: Braleigh, Paisleigh, Camden, Parker, Rylee, Callie, Aisley and Hayes; sister, Daphine Evans of Austin; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers are Brandon Whitus, Dustin Davis, Daron Davis, Bubba Harris, Zach Phillips and Shannon Davis. Honorary pallbearers are RC Pennington, Donald Lee Key, Earl Curry and Mark Ranne.

Visitation will be 6-8 Monday at the funeral Home.
