Donald "Donnie" Lynn Wolverton

August 31, 1959 – May 15, 2026

Donnie Wolverton, of Forney, Texas, passed away on May 15, 2026, in Lewisville, Texas, at the age of 66. He was born on August 31, 1959, in Dallas, Texas.

Donnie was a loving husband, devoted father, proud Papa, brother, son, uncle, cousin, and friend whose presence brought warmth, laughter, and comfort to everyone who knew him. He was married to the love of his life, Tina, and together they built a life centered around family, love, and unwavering support for one another.

He is survived by his wife Tina; his children, Shelley, Brandy, Steven and wife Stephanie, and Jimmy and wife Christina. He was a deeply cherished Papa to Bri, Daniel, Lindsay, Kinzie, Macie, Peyton, Cayden, William, Becca, and Madison. He will be deeply missed by his beloved Kamie.

Donnie is also survived by his brothers, David Wolverton and Robert Wolverton and wife Lisa; sister-in-law Barbara Wolverton; mother-in-law Claudia Kindle; along with numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and loved ones.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Elizabeth Wolverton, brothers, Edward Wolverton and Ronald Wolverton, and sister, Sharon Wolverton.

Donnie was known for his kind heart, generous spirit, and the love he gave so freely to others. He never hesitated to help anyone in need and left a lasting impact on every life he touched. Family meant everything to him, and he took great pride in being a husband, father, and grandfather. Whether it was sharing stories, making people laugh, lending a helping hand, or simply being present for those he loved, Donnie made everyone around him feel valued and cared for.

One of Donnie’s greatest joys was playing Santa Claus during the holidays. He loved seeing smiles on children’s faces and bringing happiness to others. His gentle soul, sense of humor, and caring nature made him unforgettable to all who knew him.

Though he will be deeply missed, the love, memories, and lessons he shared will continue to live on through his family and everyone blessed enough to know him.

A Celebration of Life for Donnie will be held on May 28, 2026 at Hampton Road Baptist Church in DeSoto, TX at 11 am. A visitation will be held on May 27, 2026 from 6 pm to 8 pm at Eubank Funeral Home in Canton, TX.
