Evelyn Jo West

Evelyn Jo West, 80, of Athens, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 20, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. A celebration of her life will be held at her home where she loved to gather with her family and friends at a later date.

Evelyn was born on April 26, 1943, in Ft. Worth, Texas to Eldon Carl and Evelyn Windham Stone. To know this woman was to love her. She had fun wherever she went and had an infectious laugh. She loved traveling the world and playing games. Evelyn and her husband, Jerry, owned and operated Auto Industrial Supply Inc., and East Tyler Exxon. She also worked at Future Med. Evelyn was an amazing mother of three active boys. She was selfless, courageous and a spitfire of a lady, she had to be with three boys. The biggest cheerleader of all her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Evelyn was always there in person or in text sending all her love and support. The true matriarch of the family.

Evelyn is preceded in death by her loving husband, Jerry; great grandsons: Slade Reeves, Sloan Reeves; and her treasured parents Eldon and Evelyn Stone.

She is survived by her cherished family, sons: Mitch West, Jeff West and wife, Peggy, Todd West and wife, Tonya; grandchildren: Chase West, Pearson West, Abigail West, Courtney Reeves and Ryan Reeves, Monica and Troy McFarland, Lauren West and Lance West; great grandchildren: Saxon Reeves, Sutton Reeves, Griffin Cook, Logan Cook, Parker Cook, Hope McFarland and Taylor McFarland; sisters: Laverne Henley, Lavonne Stewart; brother, Jerry Stone and wife, Lou; and numerous nieces and nephews.
