Services for Fleanoy Avon "F.A." Corley, 90, of the Walton Community, will be 10 am Wednesday, April 18, 2018, at the Eubank Funeral Chapel in Canton with Rev. Michael Cash and Grandson Robert Corley officiating. Interment will be in Chinquapin Cemetery.
Mr. Corley passed away Saturday, April 14, 2018, in Athens, Tx. He was born September 10, 1927 in Canton, Tx. to Miles Lecil and Rosa Leota Jackson Corley.
F.A. was a member of the China Grove Baptist Church, an ordained Baptist deacon, and a Mason. F.A. served in the US Navy and then became a professional truck driver. During his forty-two year career he drove over four million miles. He enjoyed traveling, trips to Lake Oauchita where he taught his children and thirty-nine others to water ski. He enjoyed living in the country and working with his small herd of cows. His claim to fame is winning a trip to Switzerland on the Price Is Right. He lived life to the fullest and taught his children and grandchildren by example - you work hard to play hard! But most of all, he loved ALL his family.
Mr. Corley is preceded in death by his parents; his loving first wife of 44 years, Nadine Corley; son, Randall Dee Corley; granddaughter, Rebecca Michelle Worlledge; and two brothers: W.A. and Richard Corley.
F.A. is survived by his wonderful wife of 23 years, Virginia Corley, of the Walton Community; son, Gary and Mara Corley of Bullard; three daughters: Janis and Tim Bullard of the Walton Community, Lisa and Doyle Cassity of Livingston, and Stephanie and Tony Ruiz of Midland; three step-daughters: Cathy Proctor of the Walton Community, Linda Wiedenmann of Dallas and Brenda Newman of Mesquite; 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; three sisters: Peggy and John Gurley, Hazel Montgomery and Joan and Donnie Hutchinson; and three sisters-in-law: Ruby Corley, Sharon and Carl Huber and Camay Jennings; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Joshua Holmes, Jacob Holmes, Robert Corley, Jeremy Wiedenmann, Matthew Farrington, Chase Holmes, Rance Perry and Blake Perry.
Visitation will be 6-8 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
