Geraldine Fugate

Geraldine passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, September 22, 2021. She was born October 3, 1937 in Indianapolis, IN, to Lonnie Morphis and Estelle Bridwell Morphis.

Geraldine grew up in the Edgewood area while attending Edgewood High School and worked for over 20 years at My Credit Union. On June 8, 1957 she married her true love, E. J. Fugate and together they started a wonderful family together.

Geraldine was Baptist by faith. Sewing kept her occupied many hours when she wasn't joking with someone or making plans with her family. She liked to cook, tell jokes and delighted in bluegrass music that would bring the whole group together for some well cherished family time. Geraldine loved to laugh, enjoy life and was devoted to her family but it was her grand and great-grandchildren that kept her thriving from day to day. Geraldine will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.

Geraldine is survived by her daughter, Suzanne Parker and husband Kenny; grandchildren, Cory & Brooke Goswick, Cody & Cameron Goswick, Colt & Brittany Goswick and Ryan & Kim Parker; great-grandchildren Grady, Brynlee, Kennedi, Leighton, Paisley, Gavin, MaKenzie, Austin, Alex, Ava, Amelia, Anna, Baby Boy Goswick due to arrive in November; niece, Janie and nephew, Wyatt.

Geraldine is preceded in death by her parents, Lonnie and Estelle Morphis; her beloved husband, E.J. Fugate and daughter, JoAnn Fugate.

A visitation will be held Sunday, September 26, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Eubank Funeral Home, Canton, Texas.
