Herbert Dale Alexander

Herbert Dale Alexander, 78, of Canton, Texas passed away peacefully surrounded by family on February 24, 2025, in Canton, Texas. He was born to Robert Rubert Alexander and Ruth Bailey Alexander on November 9, 1946, in Fruitvale, Texas.

A visitation will be held at 6:00 pm on Friday, February 28, 2025, at Eubank Funeral Home, followed by a Celebration of Life service at 7:00 pm, Bro. John Foster officiating.

Herbert grew up and spent his whole life in Van Zandt County, Texas. He was Baptist by faith. He was a friend to all. Herbert enjoyed watching westerns, the rodeo and wrestling. On Sunday afternoon it was all about the Dallas Cowboys. He loved his family and had close relationships with all his siblings and family through the years. You knew you were a favorite when he played a prank or was pestering you. Herbert will be dearly missed but will live on in the fond memories and story his family has.

Herbert is preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Alexander; father, Robert Alexander; stepfather, Willie Mosley; daughter, Tina Mata; brothers: Billy Shavers, Henry Shaver, Robert Alexander, Jackie Brown; sister, Bobbie Davis.

He is survived and remembered by his daughter, Terisa Lewis; son, Timmy Alexander. Stepchildren, Tony Bridges and Frances Garamillo: sister, Wanda Jean Anderson; 12 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; a host of other family and friends.
