Jerry Don Koonce

Interment will be at Haven of Memories Memorial Park in Canton.

Jerry passed away on June 19, 2017 in Tyler.

He was born on January 24, 1948 in Pampa, TX to Phillip and Verna Fisher Koonce.

Jerry was a sweet potato farmer for most of his life and in his later years was in the oil business. Jerry was also a Van Zandt County peace officer for 13 years.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Butch Koonce; son, Kelly Fincher; daughter, Rheaona Scott; daughter, Rachelle Love; grandson, Joey Morgan; and grandson, Jacob Love.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Barbara Parker Koonce; daughter, Donna and Cliff Reeves; son, Chris Koonce; daughter, Jana and Darren Brightman; son, Cody and Joie Koonce; daughter, Sheila McGire and Channel; son, Keith and Susan Fincher; daughter, Kristi and Joe Limberger; daughter, Wendy and Liado Gomez; 30 grandchildren; and 8 Great grandchildren; brother, Ben and Sue Koonce; sister, Judy Koonce; in-laws, Ralph and Iva Nell Parker.

Visitation will be held on Friday June 23, 2017 from 6 pm to 8 pm.

Pallbearers are Shawn Koonce, Shane Koonce, Derek Koonce, Clint Sorrell, Derrell King, and Joe Limberger.

Honorary pallbearers are Scott Barker, George Carr, Jerry Lenard, Jimmy Mitchell, Gary Rozell, Mark Scruggs.
