Jerry Lynn Lewis

Jerry went home to the Lord on April 23, 2023 in Waco, Texas. He was born July 12, 1939 in Luling, Texas to Avery Claremont Lewis and Bonnie Zenobia Smithson Lewis.

Jerry grew up around Meridian, Texas and graduated from high school in 1957. He joined the Air Force in 1961 and his duties include Morse code reading. Jerry spent many years as a ranch manager and later as an over the road truck driver. Living in and around Canton and Martins Mill was his happy place. Jerry was a big man and loved the Lord. He was a member of Big Rock Church of Christ in Canton for many years. He enjoyed leading the congregation in singing and was always searching for songs that would inspire, motivate and touch people's lives. Jerry enjoyed watching sports, especially the basketball teams at Martins Mill High School. He touched lives with his stories, big personality, talks over morning coffee and his faith. He will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved him.

Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, Avery and Bonnie Lewis and his beloved wife, Connie.

He is survived by his daughters Jane Johnson and husband Mike; Joanna Manor and husband Tim; Karen Lampin and Becky Weatherford; grandchildren, Cassie Trammell and husband Rodney; Brandi Seigler and husband Jared and Gracie Hall; great grandchildren, Mason Trammell, Hudson Seigler and Harrison Seigler; siblings Frankie Lou Reeves, Martha Perry and John Lewis and wife Jimmie Lou as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. before the service on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at the funeral home.

Interment will be at Holly Springs Cemetery in Martins Mill, Texas.
