

Jesse grew up in Dallas and graduated from WW Samuel High School in 1964. After high school he attended SFA for two years. Vietnam was happening so he left college and joined the US Marine Corps for a three year tour. Jesse was a giving man, starting with the Marines. He gave to the citizens of Dallas as a fireman for over 30 years. Jesse gave to the vets by serving as President of American Veterans (AmVets) Dept. of Texas. He goal was for every homeless vet to receive a blanket. Many days were spent helping North Texas and East Texas Patriot Guard Riders as flag support.
The Dallas Retired Firefighters Honor Guard was special to Jesse. Every retired firefighter, possible, received the best "Last Alarm Bell" honor.
Jesse was an actor, appearing in many episodes of "Walker Texas Ranger", several national commercials, TV movies and theater. He was a baseball player. His passion for baseball was fulfilled playing until age 65 in the Men's Senior Baseball League. He was a Texas Peace Officer. At the age of 62, Jesse went to the East Texas Police Academy and worked for the Van Zandt County Sheriff. He was a college student again. At age 67 he decided to go to college. He achieved an Associate Degree from Trinity Valley College and started the last two years at UT Tyler, with only 11 courses to complete the degree until it was interrupted again. Bonnie's health demand more of his time. This wonderful man will be missed by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by Buster and Bonnie Lanear; brothers, Ronnie Lanear and Don Gunter.
Jesse is survived by his beloved wife, Dannie; son, Jason and Tiffany Bean; daughter, Heather and Bill Spivey; his stepson, Justin and Jessica Williams; stepdaughters, Kara and Mike Henson, Kim and Cody Bratcher; Sixteen beautiful grandchildren: Grayson, Sofia, Emma, Madison, Kelsey, Kaitlyn, Kale, Olivia, Tanner, Jaycee, Mason, Anisa, Piper, Kylie, Gavyn and serving now in the US Army, Brandon; there are seven great-grandchildren and one on the way.
Jesse's final resting place will be at DFW National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas.
