Interment will be at Milford Cemetery in Milford, TX.
Mrs. Ellis passed away Monday, July 6, 2015 in Mesquite, TX.
She was born on November 11, 1925 in Milford, TX to Lonnie and Annie Laura Dawson Trull.
Jewel was a Baptist by faith and grew up in Milford. During WWII she moved to Washington where she worked on airplanes. Jewel married in 1944 and upon pregnancy, she rode a train all the way back to Texas for her first child’s birth. Jewel enjoyed fishing, camping, dancing, traveling, and was an avid bowler with her husband. She always had a beautiful smile on her face and was a woman who lived for her children.
She is survived by Son, Gilbert & Karen Ellis of Mabank, TX; Daughter, Gloria & Gary Spence of Dallas, TX; Son, Carey Ellis of Trinidad, TX; Son, Tim & Terri Ellis of Canton, TX; 9 Grandchildren, 17 Great-Grandchildren, and 4 Great great-grandchildren.
Jewel is preceded in death by her Parents; Husband, Gilbert Ellis Sr.; Son, Johnny Ellis; Grandson, Jeffrey Ellis; and 2 Brothers, Lonnie Jr. & Paul Trull.
Family will receive friends Thursday, July 9, 2015 at 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
