Mr. Knoerr grew up in Kaufman and lived in Terrell for many years before moving to Canton. John played high school football. He then served in the US Navy in 1967 to 1969. He loved hot rods and racing cars. John did many things during his working years. In retirement he enjoyed watching television and his cats.
Mr. Knoerr is preceded in death by his parents, Charles Knoerr and Anna Love; and a grandson, Caymen Craig Harper.
John is survived by his daughter, Samantha and Bill Manning of Kaufman; daughter, Kim Parker of Arkansas; son, Barry and Michelle Knoerr of Arkansas; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
