

Services for Kathleen Yancey, 81, of Canton, are scheduled for 11 am Thursday, September 24, 2015, at the Eubank Funeral Chapel in Canton with Bro. Ron Moore officiating. Interment will be in Meredith Campground Cemetery in Walton.
Mrs. Yancey passed away Monday, September 21, 2015, in Tyler. She was born August 19, 1934, in Marble Falls, TX to William Beecher and Lorine Darter Ramsdell.
Kathy married Kenneth Yancey on December 20, 1953, in Marble Falls, TX. They have lived in Canton for the past 48 years. Kathy was a member of the Little Hope Baptist Church and the Lions Club. She was the first Lady Lion in District 2X2. Kathy was also a member of the Eastern Star where she served as a Past Matron of Canton 667, Wills Point 366 and Edgewood 904. She was a Grand Organist for the Grand Chapter of Texas Order of the Eastern star. Mrs. Yancey has been a church pianist since she was 11 years old and was a piano teacher for over 25 years.
Mrs. Yancey is preceded in death by her parents; son, Kerry Yancey; and six first cousins. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Yancey of Canton; daughter, K. Anice McKinlay, of Rockland, Maine; daughter and son-in-law, Jenny Kate and David Price of Tyler; 2 grandchildren: Jenny Rachel Lyra and Joshua Wayne Price; 2 great-grandchildren: Rose Mary Lyra, Jagger Wayne Price; and a brother, James Franklin and Emily Ramsdell of Syracuse, New York.
Honorary pallbearers are Foy Kirkland, Don Kirkland, Dwaine Robertson, B.W. Ward, James Norrell and Maxie Turner.
Family will receive friends 5-7 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
