Martha Marnell Rose

Interment will be at Haven of Memories in Canton.

She passed away March 16, 2015 in Tyler, TX.

Marnell was born on a farm near Canton, Texas, September 6, 1926 to Orbon Page and Rosie Smith Page. She was one of five children, two brothers and three sisters. She is survived by her sister, Nan Page Davis.

Marnell married Jack Rose as WWII started. While Jack was overseas she lived with his mother, Myrtie, who operated the local telephone exchange in Myrtle Springs. When Jack came back from the service, he began to work for the telephone company eventually retiring with 43 years of service. Through the years they lived in Dallas, Terrell, Longview and Tyler.

Jack and Marnell were the parents of Don Rose and Linda Rose Pruett. Don and Sonja Rose are the parents of Jennifer Rose Ingram, husband Darren, and children Elizabeth, Seth and Abigail. Linda Rose Pruett and husband George are the parents of children George Dennis Pruett II, Tonya Pruett Wise, husband Steven, and their children are Lori, Tyler, and Elizabeth, Traci Bryant and her children Kiely and Harrison.

Throughout their lives their faith in God has been manifested. During their later years together they printed and distributed millions of gospel tracts, a ministry they dearly loved. She will be remembered as a kind, loving and caring mother.

Family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
