Services for Michael Harvey Mathis, 47, of Tyler, Texas, are scheduled for 2:00 pm Sunday July 13, 2014 at Eubank Funeral Chapel with Bro. Dan Tarno officiating, under the direction of Eubank Funeral Home, Canton.
Burial will be in Starr Cemetery, Canton, Texas.
He passed away July 10, 2014 in Tyler, TX.
Mr. Mathis was born September 20, 1966 in Tyler, TX, to William Harvie Mathis and Earlene Mathis.
Michael grew up in Tyler and graduated in 1985. He attended Tyler Jr. College and earned a degree in refrigeration and air conditioning. He loved sports and watching the Dallas Cowboys. Michael enjoyed fishing, shooting guns and spending time with his family.
Surviving are Son, Brandon Mathis of Tyler. Daughter, Megan & Juan Robles of Tyler, Granddaughter, Kinley Marie Mathis, Granddaughter, Delilah Mae Robles, Mother, Earlene Mathis of Tyler, 6 Sisters, Linda Jenkins, Brenda Benefield, Sandy Gilbert, Judy Cubillos, Kathy Glasscock, Kellie Moffatt, Lifetime Friends, Kane Pitner, Kim Garrett.
Michael was preceded in death by his Father, William Harvie Mathis.
Pallbearers are Kane Pitner, Scott Mathis, Brandon Mathis, Bob Moffatt, Juan Robles, Nick Moffatt, and Mark Gilbert.
Family will receive friends Sunday 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
