

Mildred went home to the Lord on July 28, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Colfax, Texas on April 11, 1941, to Madison Ladelle and Venetta Venice (Lewis) Parks. Soon Mildred was blessed to meet the love of her life in Glen Ayers, who she married on July 19, 1957, and shared 37 wonderful years together. What Mildred loved most in life was being around her family. She enjoyed playing games when everyone was together from cards to board games and laughing at all the mischief. When she was alone, she liked to work on word searches and all kinds of puzzles to keep active. Mildred was also an avid fan of sweets. She enjoyed ice cream, chocolate and peanut butter cups but her most favorite were gummy bears.
Mildred is survived by her caring family of daughters: Tina Garrett and husband, Steve, Sheila Chapa and husband, Martin; sons: Rickey Ayers and wife, Sonya, Gerald Ayers and wife, Molly; 6 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Martin Ayers and wife, Marla; sister-in-law, Glenda Lott; special longtime friend, Earl Bowls; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Glen Ayers; parents, M.L. and Venetta Parks; brothers: Marshal Parks, Gwynn Parks; and grandparents: George and Cleo Lewis, Ma and Pa Parks.
