Nancy Lynn Hill, age 66, of College Station died unexpectedly at Herman Memorial Hospital, Houston, Texas on Thursday, May 10, 2018. Nancy was born October 28, 1952. She was the only child of Verl Rosetta (Tyler) and William Edward "Preacher" Hill. Both parents preceded her in death.
Nancy graduated from Kaufman High School in 1971. She enjoyed reunions, golfing and special gatherings with her classmates. After graduating from high school, Nancy joined the United States Navy. She loved her country, was very patriotic and belong to several service groups. Nancy especially enjoyed the lifelong friendships she made through her travels with the Navy.
The skills learned during her years of service in the Navy lead her to a career with AT&T. Eventually, AT&T transferred her to Georgia where she made many other special friendships. Nancy remained in Georgia until her retirement.
Upon retirement from AT&T, Nancy heard her Texas roots calling her back home. Her exuberant enthusiasm for the Texas Aggies prompted her to settle right in the heart of Aggieland. She expressed her Aggie love in all things burgundy.
Nancy is survived by her brother Larry (Dale) Parsons and sisters Cindy Hodge, Dana Bruner, Donna Harris. Other close family members who will miss everything about Nancy include Stacey (Brad) Labauve, Darby and Braden LaBauve, Carol (Robert) Westbrook, Reni and Amanda Masi, Roger (Bettye) Mayfield, Hali Mayfield, Aaron & Michelle Bonds.
Funeral Service is scheduled for Saturday, May 26, 2018, in Canton, Texas at Eubank Funeral Home, 27532 State Hwy. 64. Viewing will be at 1:00 o'clock. Service to follow at 2:00 o'clock. Reverend Max Brennan will be officiating.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Kaufman High School class of 1971.
