Naomi "Susie" Little, a compassionate woman and friend to all, passed away peacefully on January 29, 2026, at the age of 79. She was born on December 6, 1946, in Dallas, Texas, to David Owen Current and Naomi Louise Woolever Current, growing up in the Ft. Worth area.
She was married to her beloved Charles Little for many years, living and building a wonderful life in Dallas. The couple moved to Canton, Texas, in 2002, where Susie worked at Walmart until her retirement. She cherished family gatherings and beamed with joy watching family pop fireworks on the 4th of July.
Her personal interests included quilting and sewing, as well as yard work, with a particular fondness for mowing, whether the yard needed it or not. Susie had a love for animals, with many pets over the years, including dogs and perhaps a cat or two. One of her favorites was a squirrel named Freddie, who would let her hand-feed him.
Susie loved the simplicity and beauty of the world around her. She was a loving, caring, and generous person, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and warmth.
She is preceded in death by her parents, David and Naomi Louise Current; her beloved husband, Charles Little; and her brothers: Paul Current, Larry Current, and Richard Current. Susie is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Bobby and Mary Bowerman; grandchildren Paul Bowerman and Autumn Bowerman; several great-grandchildren; her brother, David Current; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Wanda and Terry Bailey; and a host of other family and friends.
A visitation will be held on February 5, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Eubank Funeral Home in Canton, Texas. Followed by a Celebration of Life service at 2:00 pm.
