Mr. Alvis passed away April 24, 2020 in Canton. He was born November 23, 1963 in Tyler, to the late Alfred Lee and Laura Louise Royalls Alvis.
Ray grew up in Richardson and graduated from Berkner High School in 1982. Ray started his own construction company, R-Mac Construction, in 1996. His company worked almost exclusively at the World Trade Center in Dallas. Ray bought his farm in 2003 and began a hay and cattle business. He was a loving father and husband, enjoyed fishing, and loved the Martin’s Mill community.
Ray is survived by his wife, Sherry Alvis; two daughters: Sarah and Rachel Alvis; two step-sons: Jason and Brittani White and Jeremy White, all of Canton; three grandchildren: Jake White, Jaylan MacKinnon and Jaron White; brother, Dane and Jing Daniel of Pensacola, Florida; and a sister, Doris and Bill Wheatley of Plano.
Friends are welcome to come to the graveside, but will need to follow social distancing guidelines
