Mrs. Smith passed away December 24, 2021, in Austin. She was born December 23, 1930, in Fresno, California to the late Willie Berkey “Bill” and Ruby Rae Walker Dennison.
Retha was a member of the South Austin Baptist Church. She was a loving and giving person who was always willing to help others.
Mrs. Smith is preceded in death by her husband, Lester Smith; daughter, Karen Hildebrand; and son, Danny Smith.
Retha is survived by her son, David Smith and Alma Nabhan of Arizona; six grandchildren: Angela Berenstein, Carrie Roberson, Ashleigh Whitt, Kyle Dyvad, Jennifer Dyvad, and Katy Dennis; and nine great-grandchildren.
A visitation for Retha will be held one hour prior to the service.
