Services for Richard Dean Tatum, 64, of Athens, are scheduled for 2 pm Saturday, March 28, 2015, at Eubank Funeral Chapel in Canton with Steve Glosup officiating. Burial will be in Haven of Memories memorial park.
Mr. Tatum passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2015. He was born October 20, 1950 in Haskell, TX to George Lewis and Ercell Hudgens.
Richard was a Christian by faith. Among the many things he enjoyed in his life were watching tv, ranching and going to the coffee shop. He also enjoyed hunting, and fishing with his friends and family. He loved to visit with whoever could stop by especially his grandchildren.
Mr. Tatum is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Cathy Louise Lunceford Tatum; and two brothers, Virnell & Benny Mack Tatum.
Richard is survived by his daughter Linde L. Kines of Athens; three grandchildren: Austin, Kristyn, & Katie Kines; brother & sister-in-law, George & Betty Tatum of Crowley, Tx; brother & sister-in-law, Bobby & Roselee Tatum of Belen, NM; brother & sister-in-law, Carl & Carolyn Tatum of Houston, Tx; sister, Barbara Hathaway of Haltum City, Tx; and sister & brother-in-law, Janice & Danny Jordan of Graford, Tx.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
