Tammy "Nana" Tidwell

Tammy passed away April 16, 2025 in Tyler. She was born January 11, 1960 in Dallas to Joe Ervin and Alice Joan Phillips Yates.

Tammy was a long-time member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church. She moved to Canton when she was 8 years old and attended Canton schools. Tammy married Tim on June 27, 1975. She loved "playing in the dirt" (farming and gardening). Tammy loved going to the casino, yard sales and thrifting at Goodwill. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was affectionately called "Nana." Tammy was a devoted wife and mother and a faithful servant of the Lord.

Tammy is preceded in death by her father, Joe Yates, and sister, Charlotte Richards.

Tammy is survived by her husband, Tim Tidwell; four children: Amy Tidwell, Eric and Kacey Tidwell, Tiffany McBride and Justin Huff, and Thomas and Ashley Tidwell; ten grandchildren: Katie Tidwell, Justin Tidwell, Dylan Tidwell, Rheagan Tidwell, Madi McBride, Kassidy McBride, Case Tidwell, Hadlee Tidwell, Harper Tidwell and Henlee "Henry" Tidwell; five great-grandchildren: Roland Doyle, Ryleigh "Debbie" Doyle, Raiden Doyle, Olivia Tidwell, and James Tidwell; mother, Joan Yates; two sisters: Melinda Phillips and Mary Shinn; and a host of family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Shannon McBride, Harry Weiner, Justin Tidwell, Dylan Tidwell, Case Tidwell, Daniel Goodson and Dustin Tull.
