

Mr. Daniels passed away April 19, 2023 in Grand Saline. He was born October 6, 1947 in Fruitvale to Terry Fred Dee Daniels and Eula Mae Smith Daniels.
W.A. grew up in Fruitvale and graduated from Grand Saline High school. He served in the US Army in Vietnam. After receiving his Bachelor's degree from East Texas State University, he taught Ag in Petrolia, Canton and Overton schools. W.A. served as a Deputy Sheriff for Van Zandt County under Sheriff B.W. Ward. He later served on the Sheriff's Posse, the Van ISD School Board and the Van Zandt County Appraisal District. W.A. was a member of the Colfax Baptist Church where he taught Sunday School. He worked for the A.C. Love Ranch for many years and later worked for Eubank Funeral Home. W.A. loved fishing, woodworking and gardening. He really loved being a Papaw to his family.
Mr. Daniels is preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Eula Mae Daniels; brother, Rev. Billy Daniels; and sister, Reba Haptonstall.
W.A. is survived by his wife, Malinda Daniels; son, Aaron Daniels; daughter, Jennifer Plunk and her husband, Brian; son, Nathan Daniels and his wife, Ashley; daughter, Julie Blalock and her husband, Travis; eleven grandchildren: Sydney, Jacee and Phillip, Lainey, Barrett, Larsen, Bree, Kelly, Boston, Mason, Riley and Berkley; great-grandson, Hux; two brothers and their wives: Bobby and Betty Daniels and Doug and Cindy Daniels; and sister, Linda Daniels.
Pallbearers will be Ricky Daniels, Tim Daniels, David Daniels, Jason Daniels, Caleb Daniels, Chris Shirley and Daniel Wood. Honorary pallbearers will be Barrett Blalock, Boston Blalock, Mason Daniels and Riley Daniels.
Family will receive friends 6-8 pm Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, please find a child in need of a fishing pole and buy them one.
