

Services for William Jackson Goodwin, 86, of Wills Point are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at Calvary Baptist Church in Wills Point under the direction of Eubank Funeral Home of Canton.
Bill passed away Sunday, December 4, 2016 in Dallas, TX.
He was born June 26, 1930 in Dallas to William Jackson Goodwin and Dessie Thelma Goodwyn.
Bill grew up in Dallas where he attended school. He worked as a master carpenter for over 50 years and was a founder of Local Union #198. Bill served his country in the Army during the Korean Conflict and was stationed in Germany for a short time. He moved to Wills Point in 1974 and commuted to Dallas for several years before retiring. Bill was a charter member of Calvary Baptist Church in Wills Point where he served as a Deacon. He loved his family and his church dearly.
Bill is survived by his Son, Alan Goodwin of Wills Point, TX; Son, William Goodwin of Tyler, TX; Daughter, Carolyn & Scott Brown of West Tawakoni, TX; Son, Lonnie & Cynthia Goodwin of Bach Springs, TX; Granddaughters: Wendy Parker, Kayla Goodwin, Rachel & Joshua Bishop, and Hayley & Chris Harris; Grandson, Nathan Goodwin; 2 Great Grandchildren, Michael Parker and Alora Harris, with one on the way; Sisters: Evelyn Thomason and Thelma Anthony; and a Brother, James Goodwin.
He is preceded in death by his Parents, William & Dessie Goodwin; Wife, Sybil Goodwin; and Sister, Annie Grace Godwin.
Family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Interment will be at White Rose Cemetery in Wills Point.
