Benjamin Torres of Cape Coral, FL, passed away Saturday, February 21, 2026, at the age of 84. Born March 31, 1941 in Guayama, Puerto Rico, Benjamin moved through life with a gentle dignity and a fierce, unwavering commitment to his family.
He was the cornerstone of the Torres Family, but his story is inseparable from that of his beloved wife, Eva. Theirs was a rare and beautiful journey that spanned 71 years—a lifetime that began in their youth and blossomed into 57 years of marriage. From childhood companions to lifelong partners, Benjamin and Eva created a home filled with laughter, resilience, and lessons that will guide his family forever.
As a father and grandfather, Benjamin was more than a protector; he was a mentor and a hero who taught his children what it meant to love unconditionally. He led by example, showing that true strength is found in devotion.
He is survived by his devoted spouse, Eva; four children, who carry his strength; and six grandchildren, who were his pride and joy. Though he has left this world, the impact of his 84 years - and the legacy of the love he shared with Eva - will be felt for generations to come.
Funeral services will take place on Saturday, February 28th at Coral Ridge Funeral Home, 950 Chiquita Blvd. S, Cape Coral, FL 33991, as we gather to celebrate an exceptionally well-lived life. A visitation will be held from 9 - 11am with service and burial to follow. All are welcome.
