June 22, 1948-June 21, 2014
Beloved wife and mother, Cynthia Badila Brown, passed away with her husband and daughter by her side at Cape Coral Hospital on Saturday, June 21, 2014 after a long fought battle with cancer and successive health difficulties. She was 65.
Cynthia was born to Tillie Badila and the late John Badila, Sr. in Youngstown, Ohio. She and her husband, Chuck, built their life together and raised their only daughter, Jennifer, in Annapolis, Maryland. After a career in radiology and nuclear medicine technology at Anne Arundel Medical Center, Cynthia retired with Chuck to Cape Coral, Florida in 2002. Her life, though cut awfully short, was filled with a loving family, great friends, and many cherished moments. She loved to laugh; those who knew her know that her laugh was contagious. Her sense of humor was incomparable, she made the best pancakes on a Saturday morning, and approached life with an easiness and grace. She showed remarkable strength as she fought very long and hard against her declining health for many years.
Cynthia was an incredible woman, she will be missed so very much, and will live on in our hearts. She is survived by her husband, Chuck (Charles) Brown, of 40 years; her daughter, Jennifer Brown, of Charleston, SC; her mother, Tillie Badila; brothers John Badila and Robert Badila; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by her father, John Badila, Sr.
Private family arrangements have been made with Coral Ridge Funeral Home. The Funeral Mass at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Cape Coral, FL and celebration of life reception with family and friends will be held later this summer. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lee Memorial Health System Foundation, PO Box 2218, Fort Myers, FL 33902.
