She attended Central High School in Valley Stream, New York, class of 1985. Deborah relocated to Florida and had a fulfilling career as a registered nurse. Locally in Cape Coral, she worked at Gulf Coast Village as a nurse for 18 years. Her favorite pastime were relaxing with her family on multiple cruises and friends in the Florida Keys.
Deborah is survived by her husband, Troy Smith; her son Gavin Mayo; her parents Kenneth and Carol Wheeler; her sister Kathy Wheeler; her niece Meghan Ramsey and nephew Ryan Ramsey. She also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, and cousins to forever cherish her memory.
A gathering for Deborah will be held Saturday, December 18, 2021, from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a memorial service starting at noon officiated by Pastor Tom Hafer, at Coral Ridge Funeral Home & Cemetery, 950 Chiquita Blvd. S, Cape Coral, FL 33991.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Deborah's memory may be made to Lustgarten Foundation.
