Donald Gene Shrader

Donald Gene Shrader, age 60, of Cape Coral, Florida, passed away on Friday August 18th, 2023, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on May 2nd, 1963 in Fairfax, Virginia, to Patricia Dragoo and Daniel Shrader. He married Ivette Riollano in 1992. He was preceded in death by his father and two brothers, Rusty and Chip. He is survived by his mother Patricia; sisters Cheryl and Shawna; brothers Alan, Carl, Jason, and Mike; wife Ivette; children Donny, Estee, Michael, and Anthony (including Chantal and Kirk); and grandchildren Blake and Kaylee that will miss him deeply every day.

Don was a hardworking, handy, strong, patient, intelligent, kind, funny, sincere, and humble man, as well as a very loving husband and father. He always put his family’s needs ahead of his own and was loved by so many people. He loved his children and grandchildren wholeheartedly and was always there for them with his wisdom and humor. He enjoyed muscle cars, boating, fishing, traveling with the family in his RV, and watching football and NASCAR.

A celebration of life for Don will be held Saturday, October 7, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Coral Ridge Funeral Home and Cemetery, 950 Chiquita Blvd S, Cape Coral, FL 33991. This is a private event open by invitation only.
