Born September 2, 1958 in Manila, Philippines.
Dutiful, caring, unselfish and at one time "living close to the edge" is what defined George. The old expression that action speaks louder than words is true when it comes to George. The sacrificial love he demonstrated caring for his father and mother is honorable and praiseworthy. The devotion to his children, Kyle and Brendon, is beyond reproach and the unselfishness I witnessed toward me and his siblings gives gladness to my heart. That is the George we all know and love. But there is another George, the "living on the edge" George, also known as "Hawaiian George". WORK is a 4-letter word to him. He never held a 9-to-5 job but lived life large and with a passion. That passion, which turned into ambition, was poker. He was so good at it that he was banned from several casinos because of that unique skill he honed while he was studying engineering at Illinois Institute of Technology. At his peak, he was unbeatable.
George is survived by his son Brendon; sister Marilou; brothers Ronald, Leopoldo, Anthony and Gregory; nieces Ransel, Tara, Rachel and Lauren; nephews Steven, Warren, Michael and Troy.
Preceded in death by his father Leopoldo Sr., mother Josephina and son Kyle.
