Joanne died in her home with the love and caring of her family at her side. Joanne most recently resided in Babcock Ranch, Florida.
Joanne was born in Sciacca, Sicily. She was the daughter of Guiseppi and Anna Diecidue. Joanne had three brothers and two sisters.
She married to Biagio Pedro Sanfilippo on September 11, 1961 and moved to United States thereafter. They settled in Massachusetts. Together they had two daughters and a son.
Joanne was loved by many and became very well known for her love and talent of cooking and baking Italian cookies, cakes and pastries. She opened her heart and her home to her family and friends as often as possible entertaining guests with all her delicious food.
Joanne is survived by her husband Peter Sanfilippo, her daughters Margaret Sanfilippo- Smth, Anna Angiulo, her son Charles Sanfilippo, her sisters Gina Diecidue and Cursinella Billera, her brothers Acusio and Antonino Diecidue, her grandchildren Francesco Angiulo, Samantha Horton, Melissa Norton, Nicole Murphy, Stephanie Trenholm and Victoria Smith and two great grand daughters Stella and Skyler Murphy.
