

Jose Ramon Morejon, Sr., of Cape Coral, FL passed away on Friday, August 19, 2011. He was born on April 19, 1937 in Havana Cuba to Jose and Graciela Ayala Morejon. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, where he was qualified as an Army Sharpshooter. Jose worked for over 40 years as a New York Bricklayer building many buildings throughout the city and specializing in laying the corners. He has lived in Cape Coral for 20 years. Jose loved to paint and was an accomplished artist.
Jose is survived by his loving family including his wife of 40 years, Perseveranda “Pechy” Morejon; children, Carmen (Pedro) Cortes of Cape Coral, Mickey Maldonado of “man of many women” of Miami, Marie (Rafael) Paredes of Dominica Republic; Julio (Jen) Morejon of Cape Coral and Jose Morejon, Jr “man of many women 2” of Cape Coral; grandchildren, Nelson, Michael, Christina, Pedro, Melissa, Mickey Jr., Julian, Justin, Brianna, Rafael Jr., Xavier and Alex; great grandchildren, Tyrell and Addison.
The Celebration of Life service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 23rd, Pastor Dennis Gingerich, officiating at Coral Ridge Funeral Home, 1630 SW Pine island Rd., Cape Coral, with the visitation to begin at 10:00 a.m. Entombment with Military Honors by the U.S. Army will follow the service at Coral Ridge Cemetery.
