Joseph B. Watt Jr., 83, of Irwin and Shanksville, PA, and Cape Coral, FL, passed away Sunday, June 8, 2025. Born on August 21, 1941, in Warren, OH, Joe led a life marked by creativity, generosity, and deep devotion to those he loved.
Joe retired as an area manager from Gallagher Bassett, but retirement never slowed him down. A true jack-of-all-trades, he was a proud farmer, skilled mechanic, and inventive tinkerer whose practical creations often solved problems before others even noticed them. He had a special way with animals, a quick wit, and a hearty laugh that could fill a room. Whether offering a helping hand or a well-timed joke, Joe made everyone feel like family.
A man of deep faith, Joe was a longtime member of Immaculate Conception Parish. But his greatest devotion was to his family - his beloved wife of 59 years, Vivian Perotti Watt, his children Aimee Watt Williams (Gregory) and Ryan Watt (Marla Yates), and his cherished grandchildren Cali, Sara, Jake, and Parker, who brought him boundless pride and joy.
A Funeral Mass celebrating Joe’s life will be held at 10am on Thursday, July 10th at Immaculate Conception Church, 308 2nd St., Irwin, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Norwin Area Meals on Wheels, 12735 Lincoln Way, North Huntingdon, PA 15642, or online at www.norwinareamow.org
