Julia Denyse Smiley

Julia Denyse “Denny” Smiley, 75, of Cape Coral, FL passed away Sunday, July 8, 2012 at Hope Hospice in Cape Coral with her daughter by her side. Born March 16, 1937 to the late Florence Theresa and Lincoln Stephen Seyl in Highland Park, IL, Denny enjoyed spending time and playing cards with family, playing computer games, painting, reading and boating. She is survived by her 5 loving children Steve (Kate) Witt of Palmyra, PA, Frank (Theresa) Witt of Farmington, WV, Dave (Sue) Witt of Rome, NY, Lisa Witt of Cape Coral FL, Dale (Tina) Witt of TN; 3 brothers which includes twin brother Steve (Gail) Seyl of Bainbridge Island, WA, Dan (Karen) Seyl of Port Angelas, WA, Larry (Mary Lou) Seyl of Rio Rancho, NM and one sister Shirley Spalding of Alburquerque, NM; 15 grandchildren Stevie and Melissa Witt, Brandy Wine, Kalyn Witt, Laura and Doug Moore, Frankie and Triston Witt, Tavia and Ben Lonsway, Justin Witt, Chelsea Witt, Ian Witt, Joshua Witt, Julia Witt, and two grand dogs KoKo and Bruiser Witt; 10 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Denny is also preceded in death by her daughter Laura Michele and daughter in law Kimberly Witt. Denny and her family would like to thank the special staff at Hope Hospice in Cape Coral for the excellent care given.

In lieu of flowers, family requests memorial contributions be sent to Hope Hospice and Palliative Care, 2430 Diplomat Pkwy., Cape Coral, FL 33909. A gathering will be held between 5:30 – 7:30pm followed by a memorial service held at Coral Ridge Funeral Home on Thursday, July 12th. A family memorial service will be held in Farmington, WV at a later date.
