Karen Patricia Powers, 67, of Cape Coral passed away Wednesday, January 13, 2016. Born in Rensselaer, NY at Brady Maternity Hospital, she was a member of Saint Andrews Church. Karen retired May of 2013 from Hancock Creek Elementary as a teacher's assistant and has always loved and advocated for children. She loved to read and play games, especially with her daughter Robin.
She is survived by her step-mother Marlene Powers; her daughters Robin, Cara and Debbie; son Joe; 7 grandchildren, her sisters, Jan and Joanne, her brothers, Rick and John, and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will honor Karen's life at Coral Ridge Funeral Home & Cemetery, 1630 SW Pine Island Road, Cape Coral, FL 33991 on Saturday from 10AM - 12PM at which time a Catholic Funeral Service will be held. Interment Coral Ridge Cemetery.
