

Larry was preceded in death by his parents Leroy Drummond, Dorthy and Jerry Lash as well as his loving wife Linda Drummond. He is survived by his sister Lynn Majzun, brother Dane Drummond, son Poe Besece and wife Amber, daughters Michelle Stoddard and Brandy Zeller and husband Ocean, four grandchildren, Morgan Stoddard, Joel Stoddard III, Ilyn Zeller and Zyan Besece and great grandchild Levi Grabowski.
Larry graduated from Bellaire High school June 3, 1966. He was in the choir and was a part of the football team throughout his time there. In the summer of 1966 he was accepted into Ohio University, where he also played football and became Captain of his team. His time there was short lived, as he enlisted in the Army reserves where he became a decorated sharpshooter and certified in food service sch.
Upon his honorary discharge Larry became a coal miner, residing in Shadyside, Ohio, settling down with his wife and children until 1981 when they moved to Lee county Florida. Larry got a job at Munters Corporation upon their arrival and held it until his retirement. While at Munters he acquired patents on machines he invented. Larry had a passion for building and rebuilding just about anything mechanical. He was well known for rebuilding cars, trucks and even 2 airplanes in his backyard. He drew blueprints and was fabricating his very own steam engine train during his retirement. His intelligence was uncapped due to his motto “education is the key”. He was a listener, observer, student of life, teacher, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend to many. He treated people they way he wanted to be treated.
Services will be held November 25th, 2022 from 3-5pm at Coral Ridge Funeral home. Military Honors to start at 4:30pm.
