Lorraine Rae Traiger, age 79, of Cape Coral, Florida, passed away on Thursday, January 20, 2022. Lorraine was born December 1, 1942, in Brooklyn, New York, to Helen Greenburg Samess and Philip Samess.
Lorraine attended South Broward High School, class of 1960, and the University of Florida class of 1964. She enjoyed reading, watching movies, and playing the piano. Locally Lorraine was a longtime member of the Cape Coral Power Squadron and the Merry Mariners.
Lorraine is survived by her son Dean Traiger (Tami); and her daughter Amy Traiger; her brother Ronald Samess; her granddaughter Allison Traiger and her granddaughter Samantha Traiger.
Lorraine was preceded in death by her husband Glenn Traiger; her father Philip Samess, and her mother, Helen Greenburg Samess.
A visitation for Lorraine will be held Sunday, January 23, 2022, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Coral Ridge Funeral Home & Cemetery, 950 Chiquita Blvd. S, Cape Coral, FL 33991, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM.
