Lorraine R. Walsh-Mooney, 96, was born on December 9, 1928, in Chicago, IL, and died peacefully on March 18, 2025, in Cape Coral, FL. She was the loving wife of the late Edward Mooney. Proud stepmother to William Mooney (the late Patricia), Marian (Joseph) Cervassi, and Laura (Patrick) Mayville. Dear sister of the late William (the late Ruth) Walsh, the late Raymond (the late Coletta) Walsh, the late Anna Marie (the late Milton) Johnson, the late Eileen (the late Roger) Hoppenrath, and Patricia Lambert. Many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends survive her.
Lorraine was a Sister of St. Joseph of Carondelet from 1945 to 1995. She also developed two businesses: Organizational Development Consulting and Caring Companions.
Friends and family will meet for a Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, May 3, at 11:00 am at Curley Funeral Home at 6116 W 111th St., Chicago Ridge, IL.
The Burial Service is on May 10, 2025, at 9:00 am at Hutchen’s Funeral Home, 675 Graham Rd., Florissant, MO. Internment at Calvary Cemetery.
