Martha Darlene Collins-Evans

Martha (Marti) was born in Columbus Ohio on February 22, 1936. She attended high school there and earned her LPN from the Ohio State University and spent most of her working years working in a private practice facility.

Martha was preceded in death by her first husband John W Collins whom she married on December 5th, 1957. John passed away on January 20th, 1989. She was also preceded in death by her first son Charles L Collins; grandchildren, Mitchell Collins, and Andrew Collins.

Marti is survived by her husband Donald L Evans (whom she married on October 19, 1996), her children, John J Collins (Sharon), Jerry L Collins, Wanda J Sosa (Rudy) and James T Collins (Sandy) and her daughter in law Tina Collins. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Kenny Collins (Alice), Angela Griffin (Michael), Matthew Collins (Priscilla), Cortny Hollingsworth (Chad), Brandon Sosa (Tabitha), Tiffany Schell (Matt), Krystal Chase (Stephen), Jennifer Elliott (Shawn), Jason Collins (Whitnie) Justin Collins (Kimberly), Landon Sturm, Brooke Sturm, and several great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Marti was a lover of the Lord and had generous, kind and humble heart. Her family was her most valued treasure. She never knew a stranger and would help anyone in need. She will be missed deeply by her family and friends.

Visitation will be on Thursday April 4th from 6-8pm at Coral Ridge Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am on Friday April 5th at Saint Andrews Catholic Church, Burial will follow at Coral Ridge Cemetery.

There will be a reception following at a personal residence at 218 SW 31st Terrace, Cape Coral, Florida 33914.
